A thrilling collaboration between two 'great regulars' of the Verbier Festival in a mixed programme: Yuja Wang and Joshua Bell will perform Schumann's Piano Quintet in F minor and then Beethoven's dreadful A Kreutzer sonata. In the second part of the concert, Joshua Bell will conduct with his violin the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra in Beethoven's Violin Concerto in D.

Hélène Grimaud cancelled her venue at the Verbier Festival and will be replaced by Nicholas Angelich. Joined by Leonidas Kavakos -who performed an outstanding Bartók concerto 4 days ago- the pianist will play Schumann and Brahms sonatas. Then, accompanied by cellist Frans Helmerson, they will perform Brahm's Piano Trio No.2.

With soloists Joshua Bell, Kirill Troussov, Laurence Power and Natalia Gutman,Christian Zacharias will start the concert with Brahms Piano Quintet in F minor. In the second part of the concert, the pianist will leave his instrument and conduct the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra in Haydn's sixth London Symphonies (No.98).
