Joyce DiDonato sings Berlioz's Les Nuits d'été live with Esa-Pekka Salonen and the Verbier Festival Orchestra

We're pleased to announce the program for this special evening which will commence the twenty-second year of one of the best classical music festivals in Europe: Till Eulenspiegel's Merry Pranks by Richard Strauss, Les Nuits d'été by Hector Berlioz and Schumann's Third Symphony. On stage will be the Verbier Festival Orchestra (the excellent house-orchestra, made up of young musicians from all over Europe), who will be conducted by one of the most influential musical figures of the moment: Esa-Pekka Salonen, the former musical director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and a brilliant composer. The guest of honor at this exceptional concert is mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato, the American Singer who has acclaimed huge popularity in recent years. She will sing Les Nuits d'été by Hector Berlioz. It is an extraordinary cast to inaugurate the 25 concerts broadcast live from the Verbier Festival on medici.tv this summer!
