	Friday January 27 at 8 pm, Live from the Auditorium in Lyon Patricia Petibon (picture) will be "The sorrowful mother who stood still" in the Stabat Mater by Poulenc (a dark and deep work, far from the well-known joyful atmospheres of Poulenc's music), then the soloist of the famous Requiem by Fauré with Lionel Lhote. It is interesting to note that the organ used at the world premiere of this work was the one which is now used at the Auditorium de Lyon.		Every year the Berliner Philharmoniker celebrate their birthday in a prestigious place of the European music life. In 2009 they chose the Teatro di San Carlo, a temple of lyric art for over three hundred years. Riccardo Muti, who was born in Naples and has been the music director of La Scala for over 20 years, conducts this gala concert. The programme includes Schubert, Verdi, and La Canzone dei ricordi by Martucci, interpreted by the soprano Violeta Urmana. The life of this violin genius, whose career continued until the very end of his days, almost embraces the whole 20th century. As in a story, Nathan Milstein tells us his relationships with Alexandre Glazounov, Sergeï Rachmaninov, Vladimir Horowitz... A series of archive images bringing back all the memories of the past. With the participation of Pinchas Zukerman. While his latest productions (Iolantha and Perséphone) at the Teatro Real de Madrid are receiving great critical acclaim, watch again *Zaide, a masterpiece directed for stage by Peter Sellars, once the « enfant terrible » of stage directing! No dia 4 de fevereiro, sábado, às 20h, começa a Temporada 2012 dos Recitais Eubiose com apresentação do duo formado pelo baixo Eduardo Janho-Abumrad e pelo pianista João Moreira Reis. No repertório Liszt e Mahler. Ingressos a R$ 20,00 e R$ 10,00 (Meia-entrada para terceira idade, estudantes, e associados).

No dia 5 de fevereiro, o duo ministrará master-classes das 15h às 19h. As inscrições podem ser feitas por telefone e pessoalmente, na Secretaria do Departamento, com Eliana (após 14h30), ou também por e-mail contato@recitaiseubiose.com.br. Participantes: R$ 70,00 (1 dia) ou R$ 120,00 (dois dias). Ouvintes: R$ 30,00 (1 dia) ou R$ 40,00 (dois dias). Dependendo do número de participantes, as master-classes acontecerão também no dia 7 de fevereiro.

O duo formado pelo baixo Eduardo Janho-Abumrad e o pianista João Moreira Reis atua desde 1985. Constam de suas apresentações obras dos períodos que vão do barroco ao romantismo, incluindo os nacionalistas espanhóis e brasileiros. Além das inúmeras performances nacionais e internacionais, em prestigiosas salas brasileiras e italianas, como Sala Giuseppe Verdi (Milão), Auditório Rai (Turim), Palazzo Ottolenghi (Asti), Masp, Sala Jardel Filho CCSP, Teatro Municipal (São Paulo), etc., os musicistas ministram cursos de aperfeiçoamento técnico e de interpretação lírica e de câmera, como ocorreu nos Cursos de Canto do Festival de Inverno de Campos do Jordão, do Spazio d’Arte em Sorocaba e os de Sabará/UniBH, Minas Gerais, além de Master classes em vários estados brasileiros. Tem por orientador o pianista Ricardo Ballestero.

Eduardo Janho-Abumrad (Baixo)

Sua estreia profissional aconteceu no Theatro Municipal de São Paulo, na temporada de 1976, nas óperas verdianas La Traviata e Macbeth; posteriormente cantou no Teatro Cultura Artística, como solista da Missa Diligite de Camargo Guarnieri, sob a regência do autor em 1977.

Em sua primeira viagem à Europa, em 1979, participou do Festival de Música de Santiago de Compostela e gravou autores brasileiros para a Radiotelevisión Española, estreando Werther no Theatre de la Monnaie, em Bruxelas. Em segunda incursão européia (1987-1995) cantou no Festival Verdi de Ludwigshafen, Alemanha (Il Corsaro) e, no Festival de Martina Franca, Les Pêcheurs de Perles de Bizet (gravado pelo selo Nouva Era) e Gala Mozart, dois dos Festivais mais importantes desse continente. Apresentou-se nas Salas Verdi e Puccini do Conservatório Giuseppe Verdi, de Milão e no Teatro da Rai de Turim.

Após a volta ao seu país cantou Requiem, Nabucco, Il Trovatore, Rigoletto e Macbeth de Verdi, Salvator Rosa, Il Guarany e Lo Schiavo de Carlos Gomes, Il Barbiere di Siviglia e Missa Solene de Rossini, a criação de Gonçalo em A Tempestade de Ronaldo Miranda, Ways of the Voice de Leo Kupper em São Paulo, Espanha e Bélgica.

Desde o início de sua carreira privilegiou, além da ópera e da música vocal-sinfônica, a música de câmera. Mantém o Duo Abumrad-Reis, formado em 1983 e que possui em seu currículo apresentações em prestigiosas Salas de Concerto, pelo Brasil e pela Europa. Gravou Remeiros do São Francisco de Ernst Widmer pela Paulus, Way of the voice, para o selo Akron, Dedicatórias, composto de canções nacionais, com o pianista João Moreira Reis e Top 28, memória da Ópera Brasileira, ambos pela Algol. Estudou com Tiana Amarante e Herminia Russo (Brasil) e Romolo Gazzani e Rodolfo Celetti (Itália).

No âmbito do ensino, Eduardo Janho-Abumrad leciona aulas particulares de canto desde 1978 tendo atuado como professor de técnica vocal no “Civico istituto di Musica ‘G. Verdi”, em Asti, Itália; professor de canto e criador do curso de “Música Brasileira” nos Festivais de Inverno de Campos do Jordão (1981-1982), professor no Conservatório de Tatuí, tendo sido ainda o criador do Programa Oficial de canto da Faculdade Santa Marcelina de Música (1987), além de ministrar workshops e masterclasses.

João Moreira Reis (Piano)

Natural de Barretos, SP, onde iniciou os estudos musicais e de piano com Janette Bampa, tendo se diplomado pelo Conservatório Musical "Carlos Gomes". Posteriormente concluiu o curso de piano pela Faculdade Paulista de Arte, na capital paulista, onde estudou com Vera Velloso e André Müller, com quem retomou os estudos de aperfeiçoamento técnico e estilístico em 2004.

Desde 1985, colabora ao piano com cantores eruditos, acrescentando à atividade de solista a de camerista, com apresentações no Brasil, Alemanha e Itália, em salas como MASP e Biblioteca Mário de Andrade, em São Paulo, Auditório Cláudio Santoro, em Campos do Jordão, Palácio das Artes, em Belo Horizonte, Estúdio Bennet Kleintje, em Munique/Alemanha, Auditório RAI de Turim, Palazzo Ottolenghi, de Asti, e Academia Européia de Música de Erba, na Itália.

Registrou para a Europa Rádio de Milão e gravou o CD “Dedicatórias”, pela Algol (São Paulo).

Luiz Gonzaga de Oliveira (Brasil), Fábio Luz e Adriana Maimone (Itália) são nomes que influenciaram seu aperfeiçoamento.

Ao lado de sua carreira como solista e camerista, João Moreira Reis dedica-se também ao ensino do piano, tendo atuado em diversas instituições de ensino musical, como no Conservatório Musical “Carlos Gomes de Barretos-SP, na Escola de Música “Estúdio Musical”, de São Paulo, além de ser pianista acompanhador em masterclasses de canto de cantores como Franco Iglesias, Eduardo Janho-Abumrad, entre outros.

A Sociedade Brasileira de Eubiose aprofunda, através de cursos e práticas, o estudo da Cosmogênese (origem dos universos) e da Antropogênese (origem do homem) para o oferecimento de subsídios com vistas a uma construção crítica do autoconhecimento ancorada no crescimento coletivo e na fraternidade universal dentro de uma visão espiritualista comprometida com a realidade. Com esse foco se dedica também a ações sociais, culturais e artísticas.

This week, Viktoria Mullova is the special guest of theAuditorium du Louvre. The virtuoso violinist will showcase music from her latest album The Peasant Girl.

Born in Moscow, her extraordinary talent captured international attention when she won the first prize at the 1980 Sibelius Competition and the Gold Medal at the Tchaikovsky Competition in 1982. She is now known as a violinist of exceptional versatility and musical integrity.

As on the album, Viktoria Mullova will be joined for the event by the Matthew Barley Ensemble. They will perform such different musics as Kodaly's and Bartók's, Gypsy music and Jazz classics by the likes of John Lewis and Weather Report.

A New Year of Music Making

For Gustavo and his audiences, the first half of 2012 brings new musical collaborations and discoveries: The Mahler Project in Caracas and Los Angeles, a European tour with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, performances of all of Brahms's symphonies with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, two world premieres, and more. In addition, the LA Phil and the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra will announce their 2012-13 seasons in the coming weeks, so be sure check www.gustavodudamel.com for updates.

The Mahler Project: 9 Symphonies, 2 Orchestras, 1 Conductor

This month, Gustavo Dudamel, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the Simón Bolivár Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela come together for a landmark celebration of the master symphonic composer Gustav Mahler. The music of Mahler has been a touchstone of Gustavo's musical life: as a teenager, Gustavo's first program as conductor of the Simón Bolivár Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela was Mahler's First Symphony. When he took the helm as Music Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic in October 2009, he also chose Mahler's First Symphony.

Beginning January 13, the LA Phil and the Bolivárs will perform all nine of Mahler's symphonies as well as selected orchestral songs. The two orchestras will share both of their respective homes, giving performances in Los Angeles and Caracas. Their musical partnership reaches new heights in two performances of Mahler's Eighth Symphony, the "Symphony of a Thousand," for which they will join forces with 16 choral ensembles and an international roster of soloists. The first performance of Mahler's epic orchestral work will take place at Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles on Saturday, February 4. The second will be at Teresa Carreño in Caracas, Venezuela on February 18, broadcast in a LA Phil LIVE transmission across the United States and Canada.

All four of Brahms's Symphonies in Paris

In the spring, Gustavo returns to Paris's Salle Pleyel to conduct the Orchestre Philharmonique du Radio France. Together they perform all four of Brahms's symphonies over the course of two concerts (Symphonies 1 and 3 on April 13, and Symphonies 2 and 4 on April 20).
