It’s official. The
Metropolitan Opera’s new production of “Il Trittico,” Puccini’s triptych of one-act operas, is the most elaborate show in the company’s current repertory. Measured by the number of stage wagons required to transport the sets, “Trittico,” staged by Jack O’Brien in his Met debut, has broken the house record long held by Zeffirelli’s extravagant “Turandot.”
