For caricature Muslims, look no further than Rossini. At least, that’s what you might think if you saw Chiara Donato’s costumes for Maometto II, which opened on Tuesday night at the Rossini Opera Festival. Likewise, if sex is your obession, try L’equivoco stravagante as designed by Pepa Ojanguren and staged by Emilio Sagi.
