Boo! Slow-Mo Director Booed in Berlin as Merkel Applauds Tenor
Review by Shirley Apthorp
Sept. 29 (Bloomberg) -- ``Herr Freyer! Your work is too slow! I'm bored!''
That would be Achim Freyer, whose direction of Tchaikovsky's ``Eugene Onegin'' came in for animated heckling at Berlin's Staatsoper on Saturday night.
The second act was punctuated by cries of ``Exactly!'' ``This is impossible!'' and ``Quiet!'' as the audience yelled at the stage and each other.
