LSO performs two tribute concerts for Sir Colin Davis
Sir Colin DavisThe London Symphony Orchestra is to perform two concerts in tribute to Sir Colin Davis, following his death on April 14. The two closing performances of the LSO’s Barbican season on June 16 and 18, which were to have been conducted by Davis, will now be dedicated to the LSO’s former president and principal conductor. The programme will feature Sir Colin’s son, the conductor Joseph Wolfe, Nikolaj Znaider, Gordan Nikolitch and the London Symphony Chorus.

It has also been announced that Daniel Harding will conduct the LSO in a BBC Prom, which was due to be conducted by Sir Colin Davis on August 20, and which will now be dedicated to the late conductor.
