Glyndebourne Offers Oddly Comical `Macbeth' as Season Opener
By Warwick Thompson
May 21 (Bloomberg) -- The opening production of the Glyndebourne opera season provided plenty of laughs.
There were amusingly tacky glitter balls, deliberately crass costumes and a hefty eastern European mamma on a flying harness. If only the opera had been a comedy, it would have been great. Actually, it was Verdi's ``Macbeth.''
