A oportunidade de ver Hampson ao vivo após quase vinte anos de curtição foi memorável. Os cabelos já embraquecendo, mais magro, uma figura que transborda elegância e simpatia. O momento foi de dupla alegria porque a oportunidade se fazia acompanhar de Mahler, um dos meus compositores prediletos. Sempre gostei muito de seu Mahler, agora muito mais porque se trata de uma leitura mais "madura", apropriada a esse ciclo de canções. Philippe Jordan foi outra oportunidade ímpar, pois estávamos diante de um dos novos talentos da batuta. Aos primeiros acordes da 6ª de Mahler, uma surpresa. Era algo de novo, completamente diferente de outras versões que conheço. De início, o andamento um tanto mais rápido que o normal causou-me um desconforto, porém, pouco a pouco, sua concepção dessa monumental sinfonia de Mahler foi se afirmando no entrelaçar dos movimentos, culminando com o espetáculo sonoro e grandioso do último movimento. O maestro Luiz Fernando Malheiro, considerado a maior referência da ópera no Brasil, se apresenta na Sala Cecília Meireles, no Rio, no dia 25 de agosto, às 20h, onde vai reger o coro sinfônico. Malheiro, que é diretor do Teatro Amazonas, vai apresentar a obra de Stravinsky junto com a Orquestra Sinfônica Brasileira da Cidade do Rio de Janeiro.

Com mais de 20 anos de carreira, Malheiro estudou na Polônia e na Itália durante sete anos e, no meio musical, por todos os críticos, é reconhecido como o principal maestro de ópera do País. Desde 1999 ele ocupa o cargo de diretor Artístico do Festival Amazonas de Ópera, que também é considerado pela imprensa internacional como o mais importante festival de ópera ao sul do Equador. O Jornal El País, da Espanha, por exemplo, coloca o Teatro de Ópera de Manaus como um dos dez mais importantes do mundo pelo trabalho que realiza.

Dijo en cierta ocasión Georges Steiner que los festivales de verano alcanzan su razón de ser cuando desde ellos se puede acceder a propuestas artísticas que no se dan durante el resto del año. A Violonista e Musicista MARIA HARO lança seu novo CD solo – "Fina Flor : Maria Haro interpreta Nicanor Teixeira" , no próximo dia 31 de AGOSTO,sexta-feira, no Museu Villa Lobos. O CD é composto de 35 músicas, dedicado à obra Nicanor Teixeira , um dos nomes mais significativos do violão brasileiro.

MARIA HARO tem se presentado como solista e camerista nos principais teatros e salas de concerto do país. Nascida no Uruguai, é brasileira naturalizada. Iniciou seus estudos de violão com Antonio Manzione (SP) e aperfeiçoou-se com Henrique Pinto (SP), Leo Soares (RJ), Abel Carlevaro (Uruguai), Miguel Girollet (Argentina) e Leo Brouwer (Cuba). É bacharel em Música pela UNIRIO (Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro) onde estudou com Turíbio Santos.Desde 1990 é professora da UNIRIO. Recebeu várias premiações em concursos nacionais, destacando-se o 1º. Lugar no Concurso Nacional Villa-Lobos (1987).
